SEGA confirms Persona 4 Revival playable at gamescom 2026
SEGA announced its gamescom 2026 line-up, with Persona 4 Revival among five titles playable at the Hall 7 booth in Cologne from August 26 to 30, 2026, inside a themed Junes shopping-centre area.
ATLUS holds an invitation-only hands-on event in Tokyo
ATLUS held the "Persona 4 Revival Special Experience Event" at an undisclosed Tokyo venue from 12:00 to 17:00 JST, with selected applicants assigned one-hour slots. It was announced on the official Persona Channel site on June 8, 2026 and was open by lottery to Japanese applicants aged 18 or over holding a public X account, with applications closing June 21, 2026 and winners notified around July 3, 2026.

ATLUS released the third character trailer of the campaign, spotlighting Yosuke Hanamura.
Persona 4 Revival team appears at Japan Expo Paris 2026
Kazuhisa Wada, Shigenori Soejima and Atsushi Nomura appeared at Japan Expo Paris (July 9-12, 2026, Paris-Nord Villepinte) for a Persona 4 Revival panel, live drawing and signing sessions on July 9 and 10.
Anime Expo 2026 panel: MAPPA confirmed for animated cutscenes, Rise trailer released
At the ATLUS Presents: Persona 4 Revival panel at Anime Expo, MAPPA president Manabu Otsuka appeared to confirm that MAPPA is producing all of the game's animated cutscenes, including newly created sequences. The second character trailer, for Rise Kujikawa, was released the same day.
Protagonist character trailer released at Anime Expo 2026
ATLUS released the first character trailer of the pre-launch campaign, spotlighting protagonist Yu Narukami, during Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles.
Persona 4 Revival Broadcast airs
ATLUS aired the roughly twenty-minute Persona 4 Revival Broadcast covering story, characters, daily life, the TV world, the Velvet Room and the overhauled battle system, naming Guarding, Send Flying, Baton Pass, Prime Time and the Series Finale finisher. Wada also stated all music and vocal tracks have been rearranged into full-length versions with new original compositions added.
English voice cast announced
ATLUS West announced the game's English voice cast, confirming that the English dub is entirely recast for the remake while the Japanese cast returns from previous Persona 4 releases.
SEGA designates Persona 4 Revival a flagship IP title
At SEGA's 2026 Management Meeting the company defined flagship IP titles as those expected to sell over 5 million lifetime units and named Persona 4 Revival among them. This was a corporate disclosure, not a gameplay announcement.
Persona 4 Revival staff confirmed for Anime Expo 2026
ATLUS announced that general producer Kazuhisa Wada, character designer Shigenori Soejima and business producer Atsushi Nomura would appear at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles for autograph sessions and a dedicated panel.
Release date set for February 18, 2027 at Xbox Games Showcase 2026
ATLUS and SEGA premiered a new trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase and confirmed a February 18, 2027 launch, simultaneous across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Steam, with day-one Xbox Game Pass. Preorders opened the same day and the edition line-up plus official key art were published.

Persona 4 Revival Broadcast announced for June 18
Alongside the release-date reveal, ATLUS announced a dedicated Persona 4 Revival Broadcast for June 18, 2026 at 4:00 PM PT, streaming in separate English and Japanese feeds on the ATLUS West YouTube channel and Steam, hosted around P-Studio's Kazuhisa Wada.
Steam and PlayStation Store pages open for wishlisting
ATLUS opened the Steam and PlayStation Store product pages, allowing wishlisting on PC and PS5 alongside the already-live Microsoft Store listing. The Steam page also disclosed the supported voice and subtitle languages.
SEGA places the game in fiscal year ending March 2027 or later
SEGA's 2025 Management Meeting presentation listed Persona 4 Revival as launching in or after the fiscal year running April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. This was the first official release-window narrowing after the reveal.
Persona 4 Revival announced at Xbox Games Showcase 2025
ATLUS revealed Persona 4 Revival with a teaser trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase, confirming PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Steam, plus Xbox Game Pass at launch. No release date was given, and the official website p4re.jp went live the same day.
