ROUTE FLAG (spoiler-safe): in early December (sources differ: 12/5 or 12/7) you are prompted to visit a certain person alone - you must accept to continue this link. On the normal path the arcana then changes from Jester to Hunger; rank 9 triggers after the late-December boss.

Two endings: (a) Hunger route - stay on the true-ending path; rank 10 completes automatically on 3/20. (b) Accomplice route (Jester rank 10, separate ending): during the private December confrontation pick the concealment choices - 'What did you come here to do?' -> 'No'; 'Are you trying to blackmail me?' -> 'No'; 'Will you keep playing detective?' -> 'I'm on your side'; 'Do you understand?' -> 'Yes'; then choose to set fire to the evidence. This maxes Jester but ends the game on the Accomplice Ending.
